NewsApril, 25 Police detain suspect after bomb threat at Morgan Wallen's Nashville bar![]() Nashville police have arrested a man after he allegedly threatened to bomb Morgan Wallen's downtown bar. The event caused a major disruption in the city and prompted a full evacuation of the six-story venue. Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department attended This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen earlier this week after the suspect, Reginald Smith, walked into the building and claimed he was carrying a bomb in his backpack. Guests and staff were quickly ushered out of the building as authorities cordoned off the area and the department's bomb squad was dispatched to investigate the threat. No explosives were found. Smith was taken into custody without incident and charged with making a false report and inducing panic. He has remained in custody while police continued their investigation. Authorities have not released a possible motive. The threat hit close to home for many fans of country music and Wallen, whose bar has become a high-profile addition to Nashville's downtown entertainment district. This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen, which opened in 2024, stretches six stories and features multiple bars, rooftop views, regular live music and a menu inspired by "Southern comfort food". Memorabilia from the Whiskey Glasses singer's career is featured throughout the space.
