Justin Bieber has revealed that he "butted heads" with his wife Hailey Bieber's doula during the birth of their son. The 31-year-old Canadian singer and the 28-year-old model welcomed their son, Jack Blues, on 22 August 2024. During a recent Twitch stream, Justin opened up about the tension between himself and Hailey's doula, who is a non-medical professional who provides emotional and physical support during childbirth. According to a recording of the stream, Justin said, "I remember dealing with, like... there was tension with... 'cause we had a doula and then we had a nurse as well, and the nurse and the doula were really kind of butting heads." He then admitted that he was also "butting heads with the doula". "And I was hella emotional because it's like, this is like one of the most important times of your life, and I remember just like, I think I was being really strong with the doula," the Ghost singer continued. Justin then revealed that his clash with the doula had made Hailey anxious. "So she's like, 'you need to apologise to the doula,'" he said she told him at the time. "Just clear the air." He told fans that he had apologised to the doula, explaining that he had been overwhelmed with emotion. "'I don't want you to take away from my moment either as the dad,'" he said he told the doula. "'I got this too.' There's times when I need to console Hailey and I felt like she was pushing me to the side so that she could do (her job)." Justin added that he felt he had "good instincts" as a first-time dad. Hailey and Justin married in 2018.
