Halsey covered in bandages after suffering painful burns

Halsey has revealed that she is covered in bandages after suffering painful burns.

The Without Me singer, who uses both she and they pronouns, has shared that they recently scalded themselves with the hot water from a vocal steamer.

Halsey, whose real name is Ashley Frangipane, took to social media this week to post a photo of herself giving a thumbs up while wearing bandages on her stomach and hand, as well as what appeared to be a cannula in her chest.

"Burned myself with the boiling water in my vocal steamer," they wrote over the image. "FALLING APART!"

Revealing that the incident took place in France, Halsey added, "France: 2 - Ash: 0. UK NEXT!"

A vocal steamer is a device that produces a warm mist, which users inhale to help reduce inflammation in the vocal cords.

The Closer hitmaker has previously been open about her health issues. In 2024, Halsey revealed she had been diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder.

In September, the singer disclosed that they were undergoing chemotherapy in a TikTok video, adding that they had a new port placed to help manage their conditions.

The 31-year-old has also spoken publicly about her struggles with endometriosis, revealing in early 2017 that she had undergone "multiple terrifying surgeries" following the diagnosis.

Halsey is currently on their Back to Badlands tour, marking the 10th anniversary of their debut album. After performing in Paris on Monday, the singer is due to take to the stage in Manchester on Thursday night.

The U.K. portion of her tour concludes with three nights at London's O2 Academy Brixton between 1 and 4 February.
