Shania Twain to host 2026 Academy of Country Music Awards

Shania Twain is set to host the 2026 Academy of Country Music Awards.

The Man! I Feel Like A Woman! hitmaker will take on hosting duties for the first time at the annual ceremony, which is scheduled to take place in May.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the 60-year-old country star said she was "thrilled" to be part of the event.

"I'm thrilled to be hosting the 61st ACM Awards in Las Vegas, a place that feels like home," she shared. "It's such an honor to be part of this incredible night celebrating country music's biggest stars, especially with so many talented women leading nominations this year."

Shania added, "I can't wait to welcome all of the fans and artists out for this unforgettable night."

Her comments refer to this year's nominees, with Megan Moroney topping the list with nine nominations. She is followed by Miranda Lambert with eight, while Ella Langley and Lainey Wilson have seven nominations each.

Meanwhile, Chris Stapleton has received six nominations, Zach Top has secured five, and Riley Green and Cody Johnson are tied with four each.

This year's ceremony will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on 17 May.

Performers already confirmed for the event include Lambert, Wilson, Johnson, Green, Kacey Musgraves and Little Big Town.

Twain follows in the footsteps of previous host Reba McEntire, who has fronted the ceremony multiple times, including the past two years. Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks co-hosted the event in 2023.
