Sienna Spiro forced to cancel show due to illness

Sienna Spiro has been forced to cancel a gig due to a throat infection.

The Die on This Hill star was due to perform at the 2026 Newport Jazz Festival in Rhode Island on Sunday.

But a few hours before she was scheduled to take to the stage, Spiro issued a statement via Instagram confirming that she was too unwell to make it.

"Newport, I'm so sorry to have to do this, but under doctor's orders I won't be performing at Newport Jazz Festival today," she wrote. "I've completely lost my voice due to an infection, and unfortunately I'm not able to put on the show you all deserve."

Spiro went on to apologise to any fans who were disappointed.

"I'm especially sorry to anyone who travelled, I was looking forward to this for so long and it breaks my heart that I can't. Thank you so much for your understanding, and I promise I'll make it up to you as soon as I can," the 20-year-old added.

The news comes after Spiro had a spectacular set at the 2026 Lollapalooza Festival at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday.

Following the show, the Maybe hitmaker posted a slideshow of images from the gig on social media.

"Blown away Lollapalooza. Thank you," she gushed.

Spiro released her debut studio album, Visitor, in July.
