Harding 'chattered before proposal'
Sarah Harding's fiance had to tell her to be quiet before he could get a word in edgeways and ask her to marry him.
The 29-year-old Girls Aloud singer said the couple sent the engagement ring, which they bought on holiday in the Maldives, to a jeweller's to have dozens of tiny diamonds added to it.
She told Hello! magazine it was like "kind of pimp my ring".
Sarah, who has been with Tom Crane for almost five years, said she knew they would get married eventually.
But Tom said proposing on the beach on New Year's Eve was not a straightforward job.
He said: "The New Year's celebrations were gearing up and Sarah was chattering away, so much so that I had to say to her in the end 'Will you just be quiet for a second and listen to me'.
"I pulled the ring out of my pocket, which I was amazed she hadn't spotted because it was in a big old box - got on one knee and asked her to marry me."
