David Guetta still hoping for Adele

David Guetta is still holding out for a collaboration with chart-topping British songstress Adele.

The French DJ-producer, who has worked with artists like Rihanna, Black Eyed Peas and Kelly Rowland, revealed back in May that he had written an "emotional" song for the Rolling In The Deep star but has yet to get into the studio with her.

"I would love to work with Adele - that would be my dream," he said.

David - who performed at the MTV EMAs in Belfast - admitted he would never sing on a track, and wants to keep challenging himself.

"I want to keep sounding better, but there's no way in the world that I could sound better than the people I am working with. I'm not a good singer. I will stay with what I do best - keep making beats to keep people dancing," said the 44-year-old.

"Maybe in the future, when no one wants to work with me any more, maybe I will try. But right now, I think there are better singers than me," he admitted.

And David is up for experimenting with new beats, including fusing dance with rock since his meeting with U2's Bono.

"I've been making music for a long time and been a DJ since I was 14, so I am always trying to find a new sound and new inspiration. So many people are doing it now, so I am trying to find the next thing," he continued.

"I'm not saying that would be the next thing, but when I met up with Bono, I told him, 'That would be crazy'. I don't know when that would happen, but maybe one day," he added.
