NewsDecember, 2 Noel joins Isle of Wight line-upNoel Gallagher is to perform at the Isle of Wight Festival 2012, it has been announced. The former Oasis star is following in the footsteps of his younger brother Liam, who played at the festival this summer with his band Beady Eye. The brothers went their separate ways in 2009 when Noel quite Oasis amidst reports of a rift with Liam. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will be appearing on the main stage as special guest to the legendary Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band who will headline the festival on Sunday June 24. Other bands added to the line-up of the festival, which takes place from June 22-24, 2012 at Seaclose Park in Newport, on the Isle of Wight, include Elbow, Biffy Clyro, Example, Noah And The Whale, The Vaccines and Madness. Madness said: "At last, we've been wanting to play the Isle of Wight Festival for ages now, the perfect way to start our summer." Festival promoter John Giddings said: "We are very proud to bring the cream of British talent to the island next summer, it's shaping up to be another bumper year!"
