Noel gets searched at Coachella

Noel Gallagher has revealed he was stopped and searched three times on his way into Coachella music festival.

The former Oasis star - performing under his solo moniker of Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds at the California festival at the weekend - admitted he had a bit of a reputation, but told The Sun he managed to arouse suspicion for having a bottle of sleeping pills.

Noel said: "We got body-searched coming in. It was like an airport.

"They pulled out my sleeping tablets and asked me to explain them. There were about 30 little yellow and white tablets. I said, 'In all seriousness Chuck, or whatever your name is, do you not think these would at least be down my sock? They are sleeping tablets.

'What do you want me to do? Take one before I go on stage to prove what they are?'."

Katy Perry was among the stars who braved the rain to enjoy the music and partying at Coachella, showing off new purple locks and sporting a hippy girl look with a transparent floral dress and flowers in her hair.

Rihanna was among the acts performing and was carried through the crowd on the shoulders of a security guard before dancing with Katy.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson was spotted kissing her new boyfriend, fellow Oxford student Will Adamowicz and Lindsay Lohan was also there to join in the partying in the VIP area.

Machine Gun Preacher actor Gerard Butler was seen slow dancing with a mystery brunette.

Love was definitely in the air as Emma Roberts was also pictured cuddling up with on-off boyfriend, Glee star Chord Overstreet.
