Attenborough and Bjork in TV tie-up

Sir David Attenborough is teaming up with eccentric Icelandic pop star Bjork for a new music documentary.

The pair will appear on a Channel 4 show with the working title The Nature Of Music.

It will examine how music has evolved and how technology might change it in the future.

Sir David will take viewers through footage of animals, including songbirds and blue whales, and also talk about his own love of music.

Bjork will show off a range of specially-created instruments she had built for her latest project Biophilia.

The 2011 release was recorded in part on an iPad and came complete with a series of apps allowing listeners to interact with the songs.

Executive producer Lucas Ochoa said: "Pulse Films are incredibly excited to be working on this remarkable film with Bjork and Sir David Attenborough.

"Born from Bjork's revolutionary music project, it is thrilling to be able to document this incredible journey with her.

"She is undeniably one of the most iconic figures in popular culture and truly pushes boundaries like no other artist."
