Robbie launches new clothing range

Robbie Williams was given a warm reception by fans as he launched his clothing range in Scotland.

The pop star, who is soon to become a father for the first time, waved to more than 100 people who waited in the rain to see him outside House of Fraser in Glasgow.

He was revealing the latest designs from his Farrell clothing range before playing a gig at the city's Barrowlands venue.

He asked fans outside the department store if they were coming to see his show.

One woman shouted that she was going despite breaking her leg a few days ago, and Robbie joked: "Good luck with that. Whatever they give you for pain relief save me some, but don't tell anyone."

The singer started his first solo tour since 2006 with a gig in Leeds yesterday.

He is due to play further concerts in Dublin and Southend after Glasgow but his plans could change as his wife Ayda is due to give birth to their first child any day.

Fan Pamela Simpkins was in the front row of the crowd to wave to the former Take That star, and she wished him good luck on having his first child.

She said: "I've been following him for years and it was great to see him in Glasgow, I couldn't get tickets in the ballot for his show, so this is the next best thing.

"I like how he struts around on stage, he's got a bit of swagger and you don't see that in too many singers these days. I hope he doesn't lose it when he becomes a dad."
