Girls Aloud working on comeback

Girls Aloud are reportedly back together and recording a comeback single.

The No Good Advice singers - Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts - have all been busy with solo projects in recent years but according to the Daily Mirror, they have reunited and will release a song to mark their tenth anniversary next month.

A source said the girls recorded tracks with their long-time collaborators, pop producers Xenomania, as early as May this year, adding: "Some of them recorded their vocals separately, so they didn't actually see each other that much during the process."

The insider said that earlier this week "all five were together to film the video for their big return song, which is due out next month".

"It was the last possible opportunity they would all have to get together in time for the release, as Cheryl has been busy rehearsing for her tour and Kimberley's training schedule for Strictly has been getting more and more intense."

The girls took a hiatus in 2009 and since then have been working on their own careers, with Cheryl making her name as a solo artist and an X Factor judge, Nadine heading to LA and Kimberley taking to the dancefloor on Strictly Come Dancing.

Earlier this year, when news of the comeback first emerged, Nadine revealed she was excited about Girls Aloud reforming.

"Be prepared to be amazed!" she tweeted.
