Minogue: I'm fortunate I'm here

Kylie Minogue has revealed she is still affected by her cancer battle.

The pop princess underwent treatment for breast cancer in 2005 and now, seven years on, she admitted she still thinks about it every day.

The 44-year-old told Metro: "I'm fortunate I'm here to tell the story. Everyone's story is different. It depends what the cancer was, how it affected you, the treatment you had. There are so many variables but for a lot of people, myself included, it's not like it happened, it was dealt with and it stops.

"I have reminders of it every day so it definitely affects my life in a small part, so you just have to adapt and do things slightly differently... just deal with it and move on."

Kylie was speaking as she gears up for the launch of her new album, The Abbey Road Sessions, which celebrates her 25 years in the industry.

The Aussie star recorded hits including The Loco-Motion and Can't Get You Out Of My Head at the famous studios for a special disc.

She confessed she felt "intimidated" by the studios, which were made famous by The Beatles, but said the whole experience recording the tracks there "could not have been nicer".

The Abbey Road Sessions is due to be released on October 29.
