Leona Lewis opens up about attack

Leona Lewis has revealed she is still affected by the attack she suffered at a book signing three years ago.

The Bleeding Love singer was struck by a man posing as a fan when she was unveiling her memoir, Dreams, at a London book shop in 2009, and she told The Sun she still struggles to cope with what happened.

Speaking at her first signing since then, for her new album Glassheart, Leona said: "I'm definitely more aware when I go out in public and it has 100 per cent had an effect on me and my life."

Leona, 27, added: "But I've just got to deal with it. I don't like going out where it's really, really crowded.

"I'm obviously very suspicious of any men who look a bit dodgy."

The former X Factor winner added that being at another signing "brings back memories".

Earlier this week it was reported that security was being stepped up ahead of the album signing, with extra bodyguards on hand to avoid a repeat of the incident.
