Ant and Dec enjoy chart success

Ant and Dec could be Rhumbl-ing the music charts once again, as their revived hit song lands the top spot in the iTunes download chart.

The pair have seen sales of their 1994 single Let's Get Ready To Rhumble soar since they performed it on Saturday Night Takeaway.

"Storming through the charts #comeatme," tweeted Ant, later adding: "Number 2 in the charts #nobiggy."

The track is now number one on the chart.

The Geordie duo, who reprised their PJ and Duncan alter-egos for the episode, joined The Big Reunion acts 5ive, Atomic Kitten and Blue to perform a medley of hits on the ITV Saturday show, including their own track, which reached number 9 in 1994.

Bookies William Hill are now tipping them to steal the top spot in this weekend's charts from The Saturdays and Sean Paul, with odds of 8/13.

Ant and Dec, who enjoyed 14 hits between 1993 to 1997 with Let's Get Ready To Rhumble remaining their highest charting single, have yet to add a number one single to their achievements.

The award-winning presenters have also revealed that they have their sights set on even bigger success, and are planning to head Stateside.

The Sunday People claimed that the pair want to take Saturday Night Takeaway across the pond.

Ant said: "We want to take Takeaway to the States as we think it's a great show. We think it would be brilliant for the American audience. It could be great. It's the right time to give it a crack. USA Takeaway should work so it's something we think would be really good to do and make happen."
