Thicke: I want my music to be fun

Robin Thicke has revealed as he gets older he wants his music to be less depressing and more fun.

The 35-year-old Blurred Lines singer told the Daily Star he used to worry about being taken seriously as an artist, but now he just wants to enjoy his own music.

Robin said of his new album: "It's a summer party album all the way and the most fun and happiest one I've ever made.

"I always wanted to be respected as an artist.

"As I got older, I didn't want to hear my own depressing bulls*** any more, I just wanted to hear some fun music I could dance with my wife to."

The Canadian star's number one single Blurred Lines featured T.I. and Pharrell but Robin joked he doesn't want to collaborate in the future.

He laughed: "I'm not writing for anyone. If I write another Blurred Lines, I'm not going to give it to anybody. Are you crazy?"
