NewsJuly, 26 Robin Thicke's sound back in styleRobin Thicke has put his recent success in Europe down to his sound coming back into fashion. The Canadian singer told the Daily Star he hadn't had hits in Europe until his single Blurred Lines and thought it was because RnB had fallen out of favour there. He said: "RnB and soul music doesn't quite translate as well in Europe. Maybe my previous records were not promoted right or maybe the music wasn't good enough to be popular. "I think if I'd had too much success too early I probably would have f****d it all off anyway. I guess everything happens for the right reason at the right time. The great thing for me is I've been making music like this my whole career. Now I'm looking like I'm current." Blurred Lines comes from Robin's sixth studio album of the same name, which topped the UK album chart last week. The single is currently the longest-running number one in the US this year, at eight weeks. Robin has topped the singles charts with Blurred Lines, which features Pharrell Williams, in his native Canada as well as countries including Australia, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand and the UK.
