Lady Gaga set to perform at VMAs
Lady Gaga is set to make her return to the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards.
The Bad Romance singer has been in a wheelchair for most of the year after a hip operation in February, and the show next month will be one of her first post-surgery appearances.
The 27-year-old pop star will perform her new single at the awards show, which will air live from the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, MTV announced.
Gaga, who sang the national anthem at New York's Gay Pride last month, is due to release a new album, ARTPOP, on November 11.
Justin Timberlake and Macklemore And Ryan Lewis lead the VMA Awards with six nominations each. Bruno Mars is up for four awards at the ceremony on August 25. Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, Pink and Thirty Seconds To Mars have three nominations each.
