All Saints plotting new comeback

All Saints are said to be plotting a return to the charts and are said to be working on new music.

The group have been supporting the Backstreet Boys on their tour, where they play a 40-minute set of their old hits, but according to the Daily Mirror they have been working on new material and are hoping to release a single by the end of the year.

Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis and sisters Natalie and Nicole Appleton were together as All Saints from 1993 to 2001, when they split after their second album Saints & Sinners, having achieved five number one hits and a Brit Award.

They reformed in 2006, but split again in 2009 when their album Studio 1 flopped, and then got back together again in 2013, reportedly turning down a spot on ITV2's music revival show The Big Reunion before signing up to tour with the Backstreet Boys.

They had previously said that the group would never reunite again, but apparently have had meetings with songwriters and management and are said to be planning to get back in the studio in the summer where they will work on a more mature sound.

Melanie said five years ago: "All Saints are never getting back together again. I never want to sing again. I recently did the Brits with Nic and we just went round chatting to people and then got drunk.

"That's my goal - to get paid for chatting to people and getting drunk."
