Ellie Goulding lands royal gig
Ellie Goulding has another royal booking - singing at Prince Harry's birthday bash.
The Burn singer, 27, famously performed at the 2011 wedding reception of Prince William and Kate Middleton after being introduced to the Prince by Tinie Tempah at Radio 1's Big Weekend.
Now the chart star has been plucked to play a special acoustic set at Harry's 30th birthday tonight (September 17) at Clarence House, The Sun reported, arranged by the Duchess of Cambridge.
A source was quoted as saying: "Kate knows Harry is a big fan of Ellie and wanted her to be part of the evening.
"It's a huge compliment for her, especially because she is such a fan of Harry and all the work he does.
"Ellie said yes straight away and has agreed to perform whatever Harry fancies on the night."
Ellie, said to be dating McBusted bassist Dougie Poynter, took to the stage at the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games, which was championed by Harry.
She tweeted a picture of a sunset and captioned the image: "Gorgeous sunset tonight. Happy Birthday H!"
