Ed Sheeran tops love songs poll

Ed Sheeran’s hit Thinking Out Loud has been named The World’s Greatest Love Song – beating Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You.

The red-headed singer may have missed out at the Grammys this year, but Magic TV viewers voted his chart-topping track as their most romantic song to listen to on Valentine’s Day in a new poll.

Ed’s song pipped Whitney’s classic ballad from The Bodyguard to the top spot, while his pal Taylor Swift was voted into third place with her song Love Story.

Aerosmith’s power ballad I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing, from the 1998 movie Armageddon, and John Legend’s All Of Me rounded out the top five.

Sam Smith may have triumphed at the Grammy awards, but he only managed to make it to number six in The World’s Greatest Love Song list, with I’m Not The Only One.

Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years was seventh and Westlife’s You Raise Me Up took eighth place.

Bon Jovi’s Always and Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On completed the top 10.

The full run down of The World’s Greatest Love Songs is revealed on Magic TV at 11am today (February 14) and on Magic Radio.
