Rita Ora on working with Chris Brown: 'If you have a great song then no one cares'

Rita Ora appears to have no qualms about working with Chris Brown.

The soon-to-be X Factor judge has praised the singer’s qualities ahead of the release of their new track “Body on Me”.

Rita Ora said Brown was “a good person with a good heart” after the duo posted a picture of themselves together on their Instagram accounts to promote the single.

In 2010, Brown was denied entry to the UK after being found guilty of assault for attacking his then-girlfriend Rihanna before the Grammy Awards in 2009.

While Ora did not reference Brown’s violent past, she said people should look beyond the “discrimination” against the singer.

“Chris Brown is strong, powerful, and someone that is important to me personally and professionally. The discrimination and all what people think? If you have a great song then no one cares,” she told The Sun.

“I love him on different levels. I see how he treats his people and he’s a good person with a good heart and a lovely family.”

Brown’s track record has not stopped female singers from working with him in the past, including Rihanna. In April, a 2013 track the duo recorded together called “Put It Up” leaked online.

Other female artists that have worked with Brown since 2009 include Nicki Minaj, Brandy and Sevyn Streeter.
