NewsDecember, 7 Lady Gaga pays tribute to Frank Sinatra at 100th anniversary concert, performs 'New York, New York'Lady Gaga wowed Frank Sinatra fans with her rendition of one of his most beloved hits, "New York, New York", at a tribute concert honouring what would have been his 100th birthday on 12 December. Dressed in her own take on the iconic suit and hat, Gaga's performance showed a vibrancy that captures the true charm of Sinatra's legend, without sacrificing her own imitable stage presence. She's a performer, with her own background in jazz, who understands the showmanship which was so much a part of these iconic recordings; taking the chance to banter with her dancers in-between all the belting. It's a talent already put on display in her collaborations with Tony Bennett, having released an album of jazz standards together, Cheek to Cheek, following the warm reception to their take on "The Lady is a Tramp" for Bennett's Duets II album. In short, Gaga's a true class act. The event, which aired on US network CBS, also saw performances from the likes of Celine Dion, Adam Levine, and Usher. That's on top of an appearance from Seth MacFarlane; yes, the creator of Family Guy. An unlikely candidate, perhaps, though the self-confessed fan of Sinatra's has already released three albums of big band-style music. And he's really got the pipes, too; rendering an impressively croon-worthy rendition of Sinatra's classic version of "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered." Here's the full line-up that aired: “All The Way” – Celine Dion “The Best Is Yet To Come” – Adam Levine “I’ll Be Seeing You” – Trisha Yearwood “In The Wee Small Hours Of The Morning” – Nick Jonas “I’ve Got A Crush On You” – Alicia Keys “I’ve Got The World On A String” – Tony Bennett “The Lady Is A Tramp” – Garth Brooks “Luck Be A Lady” – Harry Connick, Jr. Medley: “Change Partners,” “One Note Samba,” “The Girl From Ipanema” – Juanes Medley: “Come Fly With Me,” “Bewitched,” “Stars Fell On Alabama,” “Learning The Blues” – Zac Brown, Seth MacFarlane, Carrie Underwood Medley: “Saturday Night (Is The Loneliest Night Of The Week),” “I Get A Kick Out Of You,” “You Make Me Feel So Young,” “My Kind Of Town,” “You And Me (We Wanted It All)” – Connick, Jr., John Legend, Levine, Katharine McPhee “My Funny Valentine” – Sam Smith “One For My Baby (And One More The Road)” – Seth MacFarlane “Someone To Watch Over Me” – Carrie Underwood “That’s Life” – Usher “Theme from New York, New York” – Lady Gaga “The Way You Look Tonight” – Zac Brown “Young At Heart” – John Legend
