Jesy Nelson's Jingle Bell Ball performance slammed by fans as even Matt Hancock walked out

Jesy Nelson's Jingle Bell Ball performance has been slammed by fans.

The former Little Mix singer, 30, gave her first solo performance of her debut single 'Boyz' at Capital FM's music festival.

However, it looks like some fans weren't too impressed.

Taking to Twitter, one user shared a clip of former Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt Hancock leaving whilst she was performing.

The tweet read: "Nah he walked out," to which others replied: "I’m genuinely never getting over the fact he was there, like Matt Handcock has seen Jesy nelson live like what."

Another said: "Someone whispered to him 'she’s singing about you' and he got p***** off x," and a fourth chimed in: "Matt Hancock has been spotted omg stopppp."

A second tweeted: "The head Bob. The tongue poking out. The cringe faces. The jacket with just “black” showing. So many memes."

A third said: "Every time I see Jesy Nelson do that thing where she bites her tongue."

Captioning a video of mother and children looking scared, a fourth person's caption read: "Everyone watch that Jesy Nelson video..."

And another wrote: "The amount of funny Twitter content that has come from this ONE Jesy Nelson performance? Honestly she’s the gift that keeps on giving."

Despite the backlash from some, there were also many people who loved the performance.

Taking to her Instagram comments, one fan wrote: "You smashed it up there Jesy, I’m so so proud of you. I’ll never forget this performance!"

A second person said: "YOU WERE INCREDIBLE."

Another said: "We loved your performance Jesy."

Jesy won X Factor 2011 with her former band Little Mix and announced in December 2020 that she was leaving the band.

In her departure statement, she said: "To all my Mixers, the past nine years in Little Mix has been the most incredible time of my life.

"The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.

"There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focusing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to begin that process."
