Sean 'Diddy' Combs steps down as Revolt chairman following sexual assault lawsuits

Sean 'Diddy' Combs has temporarily stepped down as Revolt chairman after being accused of sexual misconduct in three separate lawsuits this month.

Executives at the digital cable television network, which the rapper co-founded in 2013, announced the news via Instagram on Tuesday.

"Sean Combs has stepped down from his position as Chairman of REVOLT," read the statement. "While Mr. Combs has previously had no operational or day-to-day role in the business, this decision helps to ensure that REVOLT remains steadfastly focused on our mission to create meaningful content for the culture and amplify the voices of all Black people throughout this country and the African diaspora."

The statement continued, "Our focus has always been one that reflects our commitment to the collective journey of REVOLT - one that is not driven by any individual, but by the shared efforts and values of our entire team on behalf of advancing, elevating and championing our culture - and that continues."

The I'll Be Missing You rapper, 54, was sued earlier this month by the singer Cassie, who alleged he subjected her to years of sexual and physical abuse during their relationship. The lawsuit was settled the following day.

However, within the space of a week, Diddy was accused of sexual misconduct by two other women.

A spokesperson for Diddy insisted the first woman's lawsuit was "a money grab" and her claim was "made up and not credible".
