Morgan Wallen gig 'delayed by terror threat endangering Travis Kelce and teammates'

Morgan Wallen's concert at Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium was delayed by 40 minutes on Friday while police arrested a man alleged to have made terror threats.

The Jackson County Prosecutor stated that Aaron Brown of Winchester, Illinois was charged with a Class E felony of making a terrorist threat in the 2nd degree after allegedly threatening to shoot two Kansas City Chiefs players at the concert.

The prosecutor did not reveal the names of those allegedly under threat but Taylor Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce, star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and top defensive tackle Chris Jones joined Wallen on stage at the gig.

A press release from the Prosecutor's office reads: "Kansas City police detectives and intelligence analysts in the Kansas City Fusion Center working at GEHA field at Arrowhead on Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, officers were monitoring threats at a planned concert when they observed on X (Twitter) a threat against two individuals, who were members of the Kansas City Chiefs organization, were present at the event. The defendant confirmed to police where he was located at Arrowhead. The concert was delayed for 40 minutes while the defendant was located."

They added that a $15,000 (£11,710) bond had been set.

After the arrest the concert went ahead without incident.
