Seal reveals kids chose modelling as career springboard

Seal has revealed his kids chose modelling as a career springboard

The Kiss From a Rose singer shared his children's creative aspirations in an interview with Page Six published this week.

Seal, 61, explained that while his son Henry, 19, and daughter Leni, 20, are both working as fashion models, they consciously chose the work to use it as a "stepping stone" to their true goals.

While he described himself as "so proud" of Henry's runway debut at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week last month, "I don't think that's what he ultimately wants to do," Seal said.

"I think that he talked about wanting to have a career in music. But that's difficult because it's kind of what I do, and I think there's a part of him that thinks that, you know, 'I just don't want to be kind of, you know, doing music because my dad does it'."

He explained Leni acted as a role model for Henry.

"He's following in his sister's footsteps," he said. "She gets that modelling is a segue. It's a stepping stone to getting what you want out of life. And it's not necessarily a profession."

Seal added his daughter is business-minded.

"Leni is an entrepreneur," he revealed. "Extremely resourceful and very, very streetwise."

Seal shares children Leni and Henry, as well as son Johan, 18, and daughter Lou, 15, with his ex-wife, model Heidi Klum.
