Kelsea Ballerini cuts show short due to sickness

Kelsea Ballerini was forced to end a live show early on Thursday evening after becoming "too sick" to continue.

The country star was just five songs into her set at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York, when she abruptly left the stage. As confusion grew among the audience, a crew member appeared and broke the bad news to fans.

"This is a conversation I did not want to have tonight," the member of staff announced. "She just can't finish, she is too sick, and we've given everything, we've tried to do it, and we unfortunately cannot finish the show tonight."

They added, "I do not know much beyond that. We are going to look at options and you will be receiving emails. Beyond that, there is not much that I can say right now."

Later on Thursday evening, 31-year-old Ballerini took to social media to apologise for the early ending of the concert.

The singer-songwriter confirmed a couple of other performances had also been postponed, but promised to make it up to her disappointed fans once she's feeling better.

"Buffalo, I am so so sorry that I could not finish the show tonight," Ballerini said in a video on her Instagram Story. "I am sicker than I'm trying to be, and I did not want to let anyone down tonight, and I just got through the first few songs and I couldn't do it. And I am so sorry, but I never want to give you a half-a*s show."

She continued, "We are rescheduling tonight, Buffalo, tomorrow, Pittsburgh, and the next day, Toronto, to the end of the tour and I will make them the best shows I've ever played in my whole life, and I will pull out every stop for you, and I will make it so worth it."

Ballerini signed off saying she needed to rest and recover so she could continue with the remainder of her tour.

"I hope you understand, and thank you for the grace to be human and I love you," the Miss Me More singer added.
