Lady Gaga would love to write a Broadway musical one day.

During a press conference presented by Spotify on Thursday, the Poker Face singer responded to a fan who suggested that she should venture into Broadway as a way to achieve the prestigious EGOT status.

The singer shut down the notion of starring in a stage production, insisting that she couldn't keep up with eight shows per week for months, however, she noted that she aspires to create one instead.

"I would really love to write a musical. I think that would bring me so much joy," she said, reports Variety. "The first thing that needs to happen is I need to figure out what the important story is that I want to tell, with whoever I want to tell it with. While I appreciate the desire for me to win a Tony, I would want to put years of work into that."

Gaga is halfway to EGOT status as she has 14 Grammys and an Oscar, with her winning the latter for Best Original Song in 2019 for Shallow from A Star Is Born, which she also starred in. She has been nominated for an Emmy four times for her concert specials and Super Bowl Halftime Show, but she has yet to win.

The 38-year-old released her seventh studio album Mayhem on Friday. To celebrate the launch, she will serve as the host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
