David and Victoria Beckham pay tribute to Giorgio Armani

The fashion and entertainment world is mourning the loss of legendary fashion designer Giorgio Armani.

The designer, who dressed many of Hollywood's A-list celebrities, died at age 91, his fashion house announced in a statement on Thursday.

Victoria Beckham shared a tribute to Armani on her Instagram Stories, reflecting on the relationship she had cultivated with the designer over the years.

"The fashion world has lost a true legend in Giorgio Armani, a visionary designer whose legacy will live on forever," she wrote. "I feel honoured to have called him a friend."

Her husband, David Beckham, added a tribute of his own to his Instagram Stories, writing alongside a photo of himself with the designer, "A very sad day as we say goodbye to a very special man. Kind, generous, humble and a true gentleman. Giorgio Armani. One of a kind."

An official press release from the fashion house revealed that Armani had "passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones" and "worked until his final days, dedicating himself to the company, the collections and the many ongoing and future projects".

Other celebs to post their own tributes include Julia Roberts, Leonardo DiCaprio, Diane Kruger, Elizabeth Hurley, Michelle Pfeiffer and more.
