NewsOctober, 16 Jennifer Lopez changed her parenting style after tough conversation with twins![]() Jennifer Lopez has recalled how she changed her parenting style following a difficult conversation with her twins. The superstar shares children Max and Emme, 17, with ex-husband Marc Anthony. During an interview for The Howard Stern Show on Wednesday, Jennifer recounted how the twins asked her to be present for them after she was able to "stay home" more amid the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. "They spoke to me, (and) they're like, 'You're not a regular mom. You're not here every day. You don't drop us off and pick us up like the other (mums),'" she remembered. "And I realised how much they needed me there." Up until that moment, Jennifer had been on "hyperdrive" as she believed it was "all on (her)" to parent the twins following the divorce from Marc, which was finalised in June 2014. "They were used to me working," the 56-year-old continued, noting that she had the help of family members and nannies in caring for the kids. "I think when the pandemic happened, I got to stay home, (and) I realised I need to be more home with them all the time... I realised how much they needed me there. It wasn't just about me giving them a great life. It was about me being there for them all the time." And while the chat with Max and Emme proved to be a "wakeup call", JLo insisted she now has the "best relationship" with them. The entertainer is currently promoting her new musical drama, Kiss of the Spider Woman.
