NewsMarch, 13 Eminem pays tribute to DJ Lord Sear
Eminem has paid a heartfelt tribute to his late friend, DJ Lord Sear. On Thursday, a representative announced that the radio personality had died at the age of 52. A cause of death has not been disclosed. Returning to Instagram later in the day, Eminem described Sear, real name Steve Watson, as one of the "greatest" people he's known. "Sear was one of the greatest people to be around, I will never forget how he made me laugh on our tour together," the rapper wrote. "Our time on @Shade45 together was always some of my favorite interviews. He made the world a better place and I'm gonna seriously miss that. Rest in peace Lil Trey aka @LordSear!!!" In addition, Eminem - also known as Marshall Mathers III - shared a humorous clip from one of their past interviews together, during which they chatted about their favourite sneakers. The Lose Yourself hitmaker and the hip-hop star had known each other for over 25 years, having collaborated on the Anger Management Tour back in the early 2000s. Eminem had also made numerous appearances on Lord Sear's Shade 45 show on SiriusXM, which was unveiled in 2004. A number of other high-profile names from the hip-hop community honoured Sear too. "Man!!!! Love you Sear. I don't have the words. Rest In Power," commented rapper Xzibit, while Fat Joe posted, "God bless i know him my whole career love you Sear."
