Pair Spinnin' for torch relay tune

Tinchy Stryder and Dionne Bromfield are recording the official song for the London 2012 Olympic torch relay.

The Londoners have paired up to release Spinnin' For 2012, a remake of a track by Mercury Prize winner Speech Debelle.

The tune has been rewritten by the two stars in the hope of creating the perfect soundtrack to the nationwide 8,000 mile 70-day relay that brings the Olympic flame to the start of the Games.

It will be carried by 8,000 torchbearers nominated for being inspirational or helping their communities.

London 2012 wants half of the torchbearers to be aged 12-24 years.

The tune is already used as the soundtrack to the London 2012 torchbearer nomination film.
