Pixie hits top spot for third time

Twenty-year-old singer Pixie Lott has scored her third Official Singles Chart number one as new single All About Tonight has gone straight to the top of the chart with over 88,000 sales, the Official Charts Company reports.

All About Tonight follows first single Mama Do which debuted at number one in June 2009 and Boys & Girls which went straight to number one in September 2009.

The Official Singles Chart Top 10 sees two other new entries this week.

Girl group The Saturdays land their seventh top 10 single in four years with All Fired Up straight in at number three, while Leona Lewis and Swedish DJ and remixer Avicii (aka Tim Bergling) see collaboration Collide go straight in at number four.

In the Official Albums Chart, UK rapper and singer Example continues his run of form with third album Playing In The Shadows straight in at number one, following his Official Singles Chart number one last week with Stay Awake - this week's number five.

Two veteran acts provide the other new entries in this week's Official Albums Chart Top 10.

The re-mastered digipack edition of The Beatles eight-times platinum singles compilation album 1 is straight in at number six while 87-year-old singer and actress Doris Day becomes the oldest artist in chart history to score a UK Top 10 album of previously unreleased material with My Heart straight in at number nine.

This comes 66 years since her first hit as a vocalist on Sentimental Journey by Les Brown and the Band of Renown, which coincided with the end of the Second World War in Europe in 1945.

Finally, the double Mercury Award winning PJ Harvey sees Let England Shake, last week's prize winner, jumped from last week's 181 to this week's 24.
