NewsSeptember, 16 Kooks moving across the Atlantic? The Kooks frontman Luke Pritchard has revealed the band are considering moving to America. The Brighton band spent three months in the US recording their new album Junk Of The Heart and when asked by Absolute Radio's Geoff Lloyd if they would consider moving there permanently, Luke said: "I think it's possible." He revealed: "Tony Hoffer the producer, he produced all three albums, and on this one he asked us, 'Will you come to LA and check out my studio?' "It seemed like the right thing to do as well, to go and do something different. I think psychologically, once you're on the plane and you're going somewhere that you know a little bit, but really you just only scratch the surface, it was a good vibe - and it got us in the right mind-frame to make the right record." He added: "We lived there for like three months. It's different. We got to meet some people and got immersed in it. It was like, in the studio sixteen hours a day, and just working hard and getting in a bubble basically. It's going better and better." The singer - who has dated actress Mischa Barton and singer Katie Melua - also opened up about the time he spent two hours in an aeroplane toilet, writing the appropriately named song Time Above the Earth. Luke said: "I like aeroplane toilets you know. They're quite inspirational places. "I could have written songs often on planes. I think there's something to that. You have a few drinks and you end up in a kind of good mindset to write a tune, and that's how it is. "That particular time I remember... I actually came out and people were listening. It was quite cool. I thought they'd be annoyed."
