Jessie J v Pulp for festival anthem

Nineties hits Common People and Movin' On Up are up against songs by Jessie J and Ed Sheeran as the festival anthem of the summer.

They are in the running to be named the top tune at the UK Festival Awards later this year.

Pulp's Common People - which dates back to 1995 - and Primal Scream's Movin' On Up, from four years earlier, had a fresh lease of life when the bands performed high-profile slots this year.

Jessie J's Price Tag and Sheeran's The A Team are also among the 15 nominees for the festival anthem prize, drawn up by the Virtual Festivals website.

The winner will be named at a ceremony on November 15, where awards for best breakthrough artist, best headliner and favourite festival will also be awarded.

Also up for top anthem are: Aloe Blacc - I Need A Dollar; Bombay Bicycle Club - Shuffle; Chase And Status - Blind Faith; Foo Fighters - Rope; Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks; Friendly Fires - Hawaiian Air; Muse - Knights Of Cydonia; My Chemical Romance - Na Na Na; Noah And The Whale - L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.; PJ Harvey - Let England Shake; and Viva Brother - Darling Buds Of May.
