Black Eyed Peas sing Jacko tribute

The Black Eyed Peas are set to sing a special tribute to Michael Jackson.

Will.i.am, Fergie, apl.de.ap and Taboo are the latest additions for the Michael Forever tribute gig at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on October 8.

"This show is going to be an incredibly personal and moving evening for me," revealed the band's frontman Will.i.am.

"Michael's music, his great, great songs, have been an inspiration to my whole life and certainly formed the soundtrack to my childhood."

Will.i.am - who worked as a producer in the studio with the late King of Pop from 2007 until his death in 2009 - added: "I then had the great privilege of working with him and getting to know him and his beautiful family.

"That's why The Black Eyed Peas wouldn't miss being at the Millennium Stadium for this gig on October 8: we all owe Michael such a lot. It seems plain to me that the real star of this tribute to Michael is going to be the MUSIC itself. And that's the only way it should be."

Marlon Jackson added: "We're all really delighted and touched that the Black Eyed Peas are able to come and take part. My brother rated Will.i.am and the original things he does in music very highly."

The Black Eyed Peas join the star-studded line-up of Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Glady Knight, Smokey Robinson, Leona Lewis, JLS, Diversity and Beyonce, who will be performing via video link.
