You Me At Six honour Swarm ride

Rockers You Me At Six have recorded a song to mark the opening of a new rollercoaster ride in the first collaboration of its kind.

The group, named as Best British Band in last year's Kerrang! awards, have laid down a track called The Swarm, named after the ride at Thorpe Park in Surrey, which opens later this month.

The park said having a song named after a ride was a world first.

The act revealed on their website: "The track of the same name will be available to download in the UK from March 18. Make sure you keep checking back to hear an exclusive sneak peek to this previously unheard track - coming very soon."

Meanwhile, You Me At Six head out on a UK and Ireland tour later this month, kicking off on March 14 at Belfast's Ulster Hall.
