Timberlake makes festival funky
Justin Timberlake showed he was the consummate entertainer as he brought his funk-filled show to the iTunes Festival.
Wearing a suit, white shoes and trilby hat, the 32-year-old singer debuted tracks from his new album, The 20/20 Experience 2 Of 2, ahead of its release tomorrow at the Roundhouse in Camden, north London.
"We are going to have fun tonight," he said.
Timberlake, who is married to actress Jessica Biel, lived up to his promise as he played the keyboard and showed off dance moves on hits like SexyBack, Like I Love You, My Love, Cry Me A River and Senorita.
The former *NSync member also performed new tracks like True Blood, Only When I Walk Away as well as Holy Grail and Suit And Tie, without collaborator Jay Z, during his hour-long set.
"It's always a pleasure to be here in London. Best crowd in the world," he said. "One place away from home where people can understand me speaking my own language," he added, as he closed his act with Mirrors.
US singer Mikky Ekko, who had a number one with Rihanna on Stay, opened for Timberlake.
Timberlake is the penultimate headlining act at the month-long music festival before Katy Perry closes it tomorrow.
