NewsOctober, 2 Gervais' David Brent gigs sell outRicky Gervais fans snapped up the tickets for the star's first David Brent gigs in under 60 seconds. The actor is set to perform two shows at London's Bloomsbury Theatre later this month, as his Office character David Brent in the cringey boss' band Foregone Conclusion. Fans rushed to buy the tickets as soon as they were released, meaning they sold out in less than a minute. Ricky tweeted: "OK, so apparently, the Brent tickets sold out in under a minute. How is that even possible? Sorry." He later added: "Luckily, I held back a few pairs of tickets for various competitions for fans. There's still hope :)." Comedian Ricky created his David Brent character for the BBC TV series The Office, where he famously performed a series of self-penned songs in an episode about a staff training day, and claimed to once have been supported by Texas. He is expected to play the songs the character performed in The Office - Free Love Freeway, Spaceman Came Down and Slough - during the live shows.
