NewsOctober, 1 Paris Hilton making music comebackParis Hilton is making her music comeback with the help of rapper Lil Wayne. The 32-year-old socialite and reality TV star is relaunching her music career after a seven-year gap and has been signed up to rapper Birdman's label. She is releasing a single and video Good Time, featuring Lil Wayne, ahead of a planned album release for next year. Paris told MTV News: "I love being in the studio. Music has always been a huge passion of mine. "So to be having my new single out with Lil Wayne, it's just such an honour, and I'm so excited for the world to hear it." She added: "I've been recording this album for about a year and a half now. After being in Ibiza I was so inspired I met so many amazing DJs and producers, so people kept sending me different songs and making this album and I'm so proud of it." Paris last tried to make it in the music industry with dance track Stars Are Blind, which gave her a top five hit in the UK in 2006. The Simple Life star made a cameo in the video for hip hop group Rich Gang's track Tapout earlier this year, where she bumped into Birdman, who is the head of record label Cash Money. "We ended up meeting up after the video and I played him some of my songs and he loved them and we signed a deal together," Paris revealed. "It's so exciting. I love working with him. He's so smart and so creative and inspiring and I just look up to him so much as a businessman and what he's created, and I think it's perfect to be part of the Cash Money family. "They've been so supportive and amazing. I love working with everybody. Everyone's just very hard working and very passionate, and it's fun to be working with really cool people who I really respect."
