Allen performs on the London Eye

Lily Allen has headed to new heights after performing her new single on the London Eye.

The 28-year-old marked her musical comeback by singing Hard Out Here live for the first time in a pod at the London landmark, as part of the Red Bull Revolutions In Sound event.

The mother-of-one, who wore a snake-print dress, was joined by DJ-producer Mark Ronson and her ex-boyfriend, DJ Seb Chew.

She tweeted: "Hands up if you need a wee," with a picture of herself in the pod.

Rudimental, Katy B and Shola Ama also performed in pods, while the music was streamed live online and to over 2,000 partygoers via headphones during a silent disco on the Thames Embankment below.

The Revolutions In Sound event, which celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Red Bull Music Academy, featured 30 club nights taking over each of the London Eye's pods to host their own parties.

Hard Out Here, Lily's first new single since 2009 and the first track from her upcoming third album, will be released on November 17.
