Lea Michele announces album date

Glee star Lea Michele is ready to launch her solo music career.

The 27-year-old will release her debut album Louder on March 4.

She said the album is a reflection of her "experiences over this past year" and her "journey as an artist up to this point".

The first single, Cannonball, written by Sia, is available for download.

On Glee, she plays Rachel Berry, a college student in New York City who dreams of becoming a famous Broadway star.
