NewsApril, 15 Andre goes 'big band' for new albumPeter Andre is set to swap cheesy ballads for big band-style swing on his next album, Big Night. Inspired by Elvis Presley and Stevie Wonder and a recent trip to New Orleans, the record is described as a "completely different direction" for the Mysterious Girl pop star. "I am so excited for you all to hear this new sound - it's so different and is the type of album that I have wanted to do for many years. Now is the time - enjoy Big Night," he said. His 10th album, a compilation of 11 tracks written by Peter and co-writer Stevie Appleton, includes Kid, which featured on the DreamWorks animation Mr Peabody And Sherman. The release of Big Night, which comes two years after 2012's Angels And Demons, will be followed by a 23-date UK tour, kicking off on September 26, where the singer will be supported by a 10-piece band. Peter has also launched a PledgeMusic campaign for the album, offering different packages including signed copies and meet and greets. Big Night, which will be released on May 26, is available to pre-order on Amazon and iTunes now.
