NewsMay, 4 Calvin Harris riding high in chartsHis love life life is blossoming - and Calvin Harris is riding high in the charts too. The Scottish DJ today went straight to number one with his new song Summer, according to the Official Charts Company. The record shifted just over 100,000 copies and is the sixth number one hit for Harris, who is going out with fellow pop star Rita Ora. The DJ made chart history last year when he became the first artist ever to land nine top 10 singles from one album - his record, 18 Months. He beat last week's chart-topping single, Waves by Mr Probz, down into the number two spot, while Hideaway by Kiesza also slipped a spot to number three. The top five was completed by Sigma whose song, Nobody To Love, was at number four while John Legend's All Of Me was in at number five. Meanwhile in the album chart fellow Scot Paolo Nutini managed to beat off stiff competition from Blur frontman Damon Albarn to spend a third week at the top of the charts with his album Caustic Love. The critically-acclaimed record became the fastest selling album of the year when it was released last month, and has now sold more than 198,000 copies. Albarn landed the number two spot with his debut solo album Everyday Robots, while Irish rocker Imelda May went straight in at number three with Tribal, her third and highest charting album to date. Paloma Faith's A Perfect Contradiction was a non-mover at number four, while Britpop group Embrace have shot straight in at number five with their self-titled album - their first in eight years.
