NewsMay, 7 Cyrus to play at Summertime BallMiley Cyrus is set to liven up the summer, after being the first act confirmed to perform at the Capital Summertime Ball 2014. The Wrecking Ball singer, who has kicked off the UK leg of her Bangerz tour, will return to the UK to play at the music bash at Wembley Stadium on June 21. "It's such an iconic place, and for me to get to play is going to be really insane," she told the festival's hosts Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon. Tickets for the Capital Summertime Ball will go on sale on May 9 at 8am. Miley, who will play gigs at Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham, recently hit back at claims she had taken a drug overdose after a sinus infection threatened to disrupt the UK dates of her Bangerz tour, following the postponement of some of her US shows. "I'm feeling good, I'm alive, so that's f***ing awesome. Look at me, I'm the poster child for good health," she said, adding: "I didn't have a drug overdose. I took some s****y antibiotic my doctor gave me and I had an allergic reaction."
