Miley: Comments not about Liam

Miley Cyrus has denied that comments she made about an ex at a live show were directed at Liam Hemsworth.

Reports suggested that the star, 21, was referring to Hunger Games actor and ex-fiance Liam when she introduced Wrecking Ball to her fans at London's G-A-Y nightclub.

Miley was quoted as saying: "I wrote this song after somebody broke my heart, and I just wanted to say 'f*** you'.

"I wanted to write a No 1 hit, something that would be on the radio. I wanted to make sure every time he turned on his radio, he would hear my song and will keep hearing it for the rest of his life."

Responding to the reports, she wrote on Twitter that she still cared about Liam and the comments were not about him.

"J ust FYI what I said the other night at G.A.Y had nothing to do with Liam. I was just tryin to rile up the boys," she wrote.

"I don't usually respond to tabloidy stuff but this isn't something I want being spread around. It sounded hateful but not what I meant.

"I never want hateful things being said about those I care about... I was just tooooo turnttttt up."

Miley is back on tour after a hospital stay for a severe allergic reaction.
