Thicke 'to debut song about Patton'

Robin Thicke will apparently be making a bid to win back wife Paula Patton by performing a song about her at the Billboard Music Awards.

The Blurred Lines singer and the 2 Guns actress separated this year after nine years of marriage, but it seems Robin still hasn't given up on their romance and is planning to sing a song called Get Her Back at the event in Las Vegas on May 18, reported TMZ.

The singer hasn't confirmed that the new track is about Paula, but sources are speculating that it is.

The lyrics apparently include the lines: "I should've kissed you longer/ I should've held you stronger... All I wanna do is make it right... I gotta get her, go get her back/ I gotta treat her right/ I gotta cherish her for life."

Robin, 37, and Paula, 38, met as teenagers. They parted in February, saying in a statement that although they would always love each other and be best friends they had "mutually decided to separate at this time".

In March it was reported that Robin had flown out to Vancouver, where Paula is filming the Warcraft movie, to try to change her mind.

He told a TMZ photographer at the time: "I'm just trying to get her back."

The singer has also opened up at several of his concerts since the pair's separation announcement, saying he wants to work things out.

Paula recently told Vanity Fair magazine that she would always have a "deep love" for Robin, with whom she shares four-year-old son Julian.
