An A-list audience watched Britain's king of the downloads Pharrell Williams perform as he heaped praise on his fans for "lifting me so, so high".

Jude Law, Noel Gallagher and Benedict Cumberbatch were among the VIP crowd watching Pharrell perform tracks Happy, Get Lucky and Blurred Lines at the packed-out London's Roundhouse as part of the month-long iTunes Festival.

The star performed on the day he landed three tracks in the top 10 of the most downloaded songs in history, including the top spot for sales sensation Happy, with more than 1.6 million copies.

"Thank you for making this the most downloaded song in the United Kingdom," he told the crowd.

'I'm jumping around inside right now."

Pharrell opened the show wearing a trademark blue hat teamed with ripped jeans, red customised boots and Sex Pistols band tee because "it made sense performing in London".

He later swapped the hat for a bandana wrapped around his head when his set heated up.

I'm so excited to be here," he said. "Thank you for your continuous support and loyalty - I appreciate you lifting me so, so high.

"Make some noise for tonight and a celebration of music."

The singer and producer's 17-track setlist began with Daft Punk collaboration hit Lose Yourself To Dance, followed by Come Get It Bae from his solo album, Girl.

"Women have always been a theme for me," he revealed.

Pharrell was flanked by a live band, two backing singers and six dancers, The Baes. The dance troupe re-appeared on stage for Hunter, wearing Girl embossed white fluffy dressing gowns, mirroring the album cover.

Current tracks were mixed with old solo tracks such as Frontin', and N.E.R.D tracks, Rockstar, Lapdance and She Wants To Move performed alongside band member Shay Haley.

The setlist finished with a shower of coloured confetti over the iTunes Festival crowd as Pharrell performed his number one crowd pleaser, Happy.
