NewsSeptember, 23 Grimshaw, Ora 'to host Brits'Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora are said to be the favourites to replace James Corden in his Brit Awards hosting duties. James has hosted the last three ceremonies, but will not be back in 2015 and according to The Sun, bosses are looking for a duo that he can pass the baton to. BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick and How We Do singer Rita are reported to be top of the list to present the awards, which would be just the seventh time the Brits had had more than one host since it launched in 1977. A source said: "Organisers want the show to be completely different compared to the previous three ceremonies James presented, so two hosts makes sense. "They want two big personalities. Both Grimmy and Rita have said they fancy the job, but there will be huge competition." Nick and Rita are set to host the Radio 1 Teen Choice Awards together in October, which could give them some practice. Previous hosting teams have included Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood in 1989, Sir Elton John and Ru Paul in 1994, Ant and Dec in 2001, Frank Skinner and Zoe Ball in 2002, the Osbournes in 2008, and James Corden, Mathew Horne and Kylie Minogue in 2009. Rita has just been announced as the newest judge for BBC singing contest The Voice, taking over from Kylie who sat on the panel last year.
